Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. I've worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds as a college prep counselor, SAT tutor, special education peer buddy, and mentor. I especially enjoy helping students build the skills and confidence they need to pursue higher education.

I tutor subjects including economics, government, reading comprehension, standardized test prep, math, and writing. My favorite subjects to tutor are reading and math because I love helping students express themselves clearly and develop their critical thinking skills. I approach each session with patience, structure, and encouragement, adapting my methods to each student's learning style while holding them to high standards.

My tutoring philosophy centers on making complex ideas approachable and showing students that understanding difficult concepts can be fun. I aim to help them not only improve their grades or test scores, but also gain long-term confidence in their academic abilities.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking, playing sports, and spending time with family.
