As a young professional starting a career in academia it's important for me to connect and help the next generations in their academic journeys! I have tutored peers when I obtained my bachelor's degree in Microbiology at North Carolina State University, as well as, my high school peers when I received both my high school diploma and associates degree in Biology at GTCC. I'm currently working towards a Ph.D. in Microbiology at a future institution and is my goal to be a Ph.D. candidate within the year. My passion for research and microbes guides my academic and career choices.

I believe that everyone is capable of achieving their academic goals and that consistency accompanied by a growth mindset are our best tools. Overall, schoolwork can be challenging and burdensome. Everyone is unique, so I find tailoring my teaching approach to each student the best way to ensure success and respect their boundaries.

I have ample experience applying my degrees working in research and clinical laboratories and find that applying many aspects of biological sciences to real life can help students connect to the material.
