Charlotte: Bradenton tutor
Certified Tutor
I am currently teaching Algebra 1 and 6th-grade math. In the past, I have taught 7th-grade math and 7th and 8th-grade science. I have honed my skills in making complex concepts accessible to students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a concentration in ecology and environmental studies from James Madison University, and I am well-equipped to tutor in a range of subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Statistics, Geometry, Biology, and Chemistry. My favorite subjects to tutor are Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, because I find them not only interesting but also incredibly rewarding when students grasp the concepts.
My teaching philosophy centers on fostering an enjoyable learning environment. I believe that every student is capable of understanding the material, and I strive to instill a sense of confidence and enthusiasm that encourages them to look forward to tutoring sessions. There's nothing quite like witnessing a student develop a genuine love for a subject, especially when I see those who initially struggle experience that breakthrough moment when everything clicks. My approach focuses on making learning engaging and relatable, ensuring that students not only comprehend the material but also develop a long-lasting appreciation for it.
I am excited to help students reach their academic goals and inspire them to enjoy learning as much as I do.

Outside of academia, I am an avid baseball fan and enjoy spending my time camping and hiking across the United States. As a teacher, it's great to have the summer holidays to pursue these interests.
