With a deep passion for fostering strong literacy skills, I've dedicated the past six years to teaching middle school English Language Arts. I hold both a Bachelor's in English and a Master's in Education from Truman State University. My greatest reward comes from guiding students to become confident and capable readers and writers, helping them unlock their full academic potential.

I specialize in ELA, with a particular enthusiasm for literature analysis, argumentative writing, and reading comprehension strategies. My teaching philosophy centers on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to take risks and grow. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student's unique learning style, building on their strengths while addressing areas for improvement. My goal is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, equipping students with the tools they need to succeed long after our sessions.
