Hannah: Yorkville tutor
Certified Tutor
I received my bachelor's degree in International Environmental Studies from Texas A&M University with minors in French and Environmental Geosciences. Since graduation, I've worked with various non-profits in my local area and abroad, teaching a science lab for ages 4-13, an urban sustainability camp for high school students and presenting a variety of natural sciences topics for all ages. Currently I work at a municipal government in charge of managing environmental laws and providing public outreach and education to promote the safety of the community and the environment. While the primary bulk of my experience is based in earth sciences, I am also passionate and equipped to teach English, Literature and Composition and love teaching about film/media analysis. I believe that tutoring should be supplemental to classroom education, based in real world experiences and tailored specifically to what instructional methods work best for each individual student and I love when my students get to share their passions with me. My hobbies outside of work include gardening, reading, watching movies and I dabble in horseback polo.
