The past two years I've taught ELA full-time for 5th and 8th grade with a focus on reading comprehension and critical thinking, original writing processes for all types of writing, grammar, vocabulary, and more. I graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!) and am currently completing my teacher certification (Certificate in Catholic Teacher Development) this June 2025 from the University of St. Thomas-Houston, TX. I love helping children build confidence and improve upon their reading and writing skills. I've worked with all kinds of learners ranging from gifted to struggling students, with or without accommodation plans and learning differences. Students have their own unique styles, and they deserve to learn in ways tailored to their needs. Outside of education, I enjoy spending time with my family of five, especially out at the soccer fields. I enjoy playing tennis and taking nature walks.
