Certified Tutor
I am a language educator with over a decade of experience teaching both Spanish and English as a Second Language (ESL) in university, school, and community-based settings. I hold a Master's in Cultural Studies and a Master's in Education, which have shaped my holistic, inclusive approach to teaching languages.
I tutor Spanish and English language learners, and I'm particularly passionate about helping students develop confidence and fluency through meaningful communication. My favorite aspect of tutoring Spanish is using real-world content and cultural references to make language learning come alive. I also have working knowledge of French, which gives me additional insight into how multilingual learners process and connect languages.
My tutoring style is student-centered, flexible, and grounded in intercultural awareness. I adapt each session to the student's pace, goals, and interests, whether they are preparing for a test, improving conversation skills, or just beginning their language journey. I believe that learning a language is not just about memorizing vocabulary, but about building connections and seeing the world through new perspectives.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading about language, culture, and education, as well as exploring music, travel, and time with family.

I enjoy reading literature on language, culture, and education, especially topics related to multilingualism and intercultural learning. I also love music, both as a listener and an amateur player, and I’m always curious about how sound and rhythm relate to language. Traveling and discovering different cultural perspectives has been a big part of my personal and professional journey. In my downtime, I enjoy cooking, walking with my family, and learning new things—lately, I’ve been brushing up on my French.
