I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

Hello hello! I am so excited to work with you, mentor you, and form meaningful relationships that extend beyond our class time together.

As a dedicated tutor with over 5 years of experience, I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Biology at The University of Texas at Austin. My passion lies in helping students navigate the complexities of Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, Algebra, Writing, and Spanish, where I strive to create a supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and curiosity. I believe in using a hands-on approach, connecting biological concepts to real-life applications to make learning engaging and relevant, and most importantly, teaching students empathy, passion, and emotional curiosity with personal interests in mind. My goal is to empower students to achieve academic success while developing a deeper appreciation for the natural world on an atomic and systemic level.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy painting landscapes, quilling (creating jewelry from paper!), reading memoirs and a variety of fiction, spending time with my little sister and brother, journaling, conducting clinical cardiovascular research, and long nature walks outside.

Gathered beneath the same constellation of scientific wonder, let us learn together. Grow together. And most importantly, have fun along the way. After all, as John Corsby famously said, "mentoring is a brain to pick, an ear to listen, and a push in the right direction". I will most certainly give you my brain, ear, and a push, so let's get to work.

Healthcare, advocacy, and community involvement, to put it short. I am the president of HOSA Future Healthcare Professionals in my hometown, President of Girls in Science, Captain of the Speech and Debate Team, and A World of Difference Peer Leader. I founded 501c3 organization Genxl (gnxl.org) to increase STEM accessibility to underserved communities globally, reaching thousands of students. Closest to my heart is founding Light on the Heart (lightontheheart.org), a nonprofit aiming to bring awareness to inequity in cardiovascular care through research and advocacy. You can probably tell by now that I want to be a physician, which has been the goal ever since I can remember. However, it is just as important to live a life where you can just... be. I also do fencing, loads of arts and crafts, sometimes rot in the sun on my lawn, go on long drives, organize stuff, think deeply about the state of the world (it's more fun than it sounds), and take care of my plants. If you resonate with any of this, send a quick message. I cannot wait to work together :)
