Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Kent State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Since graduation, I have been a substitute teacher while I work on gaining my teaching license. I have had many teaching experiences throughout my time in college with Pre-K-5th grade. I have tutored second grade students in math and ELA. Reading and Writing are my favorite subjects to tutor because those were my favorite subjects in school and I have a great deal of experience teaching those subjects. I am very passionate in helping students learn and reach new goals. As an educator, my goal is to create a safe and organized learning environment for my students. I want my students to feel comfortable to participate and ask questions. In order for students to be successful they need to feel welcomed and cared for. I will have students create goals for themselves and I will support them in meeting those goals throughout the year. I want to have a good relationship with my students so that I can help them make a plan to achieve their goals.
