I am passionate about cooking, baking and farming. When I cook family breakfast or dinner, I do it with open mind, experimenting by combining the available vegetables and meat to make my source. My family always enjoy eating my food and calls it 'Daddy's soup'. My willingness to learn and try new ways of getting things done and be innovative about it has helped me in my professional life as a teacher and a researcher.

My professional life is a huge part of who I am, so I'd like to talk a bit about some of thestrengthsthat I would bring to this job. I am an enthusiastic and passionate teacher. I strive to communicate with my students through friendly body language and deep listening. I see my role more as that of 'Loco parentis' and work to build students trust and gain their friendship to promote mutual respect. Learning and trying new ways of doing things comes naturally to me. This will guide my approach in weaving scientific and traditional Ecological Knowledge into teaching of biology to enhance indigenous and non-indigenous student's learning.

I am an internationally trained professional with over 20 years of experience in teaching and research at the college and university levels.
