Hi there! I'm so excited to hopefully be apart of your student's learning journey. My name is Ni-ja Owens (Ms. Ni), and I've spent the past five years working with middle and high school students in English Language Arts including 7th, 8th, 9th, and 11th grades. I currently work at an IB high school, teaching 9th grade students as they grow into stronger readers, writers, and thinkers.

I have a Bachelor's in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Teaching, along with an intern 7-12 English Language Arts certification. I love breaking down tough concepts, helping students connect with stories on a deeper level, and making learning feel fun and approachable.

While I'm not a certified history teacher, I genuinely enjoy learning about history and I'm always happy to support students with social studies assignments whenever I can!
