Certified Tutor

I am a rising senior at Connecticut College double majoring in Neuroscience and Music Studies and minoring in chemistry. I have plenty of experience working with all ages, from teaching dance and musical theater to kids aged 3-16 and tutoring elementary, middle, high school, and college students, particularly in science and mathematics. I plan to go pursue an MS and potentially a PhD in the sciences (neuroscience, chemistry, biotechnology, and/or pharmacology). I believe that everyone can learn anything, they might just need a different approach or a little bit more time and that influences how I run my sessions. I feel that the learning itself is often undervalued as well as the genuine appreciation of knowledge and enjoyment in learning and I aim to correct that. My favorite subjects to assist with are music (theory, performance, etc) as well as general and organic chemistry, although I have tutored sciences and mathematics at large. Outside of my academic pursuits, I'm an avid baker and crocheter, learning soap making, and enjoy painting by number.
