Lauraine: Leicester tutor
Certified Tutor
I am an experienced educator with a background in special education and school leadership. I hold a degree in Special Education and have spent over a decade supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities and executive functioning challenges. I've served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant director, and I'm especially passionate about helping students build confidence and make meaningful academic progress.
While I tutor a variety of subjects, I'm especially drawn to reading intervention, writing support, and executive functioning skills. I love helping students discover tools that make reading less frustrating and writing more accessible. I also enjoy working with parents and caregivers to bridge school-home communication and build collaborative plans for student success.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in relationship-building, student-centered strategies, and a deep belief in each learner's potential. I value flexibility, and creative problem-solving, and I tailor my tutoring approach to each student's unique strengths and goals.
