Having grown up with two elementary school teachers as parents, I was immersed in the world of education from an early age. This upbringing instilled in me a deep respect for the teaching profession and a keen awareness of the reciprocal nature of learninghow students shape and inspire their instructors just as much as instructors guide their students.
With over 20 years of experience teaching psychology at both undergraduate and graduate levels, I've come to believe that effective teaching requires a commitment to lifelong learning. To truly engage students, an instructor must remain open to new ideas, continually seek innovative ways to present material, integrate emerging technologies, and stay attuned to current trends and issues in the field.
My teaching spans a wide range of psychology subjects, with specializations in introductory psychology, developmental and social psychology, cyberpsychology, and exceptionalities. I've taught in diploma and degree programs, across face-to-face, hybrid, and fully online modalities. Regardless of the format, I strive to bring energy, curiosity, and relevance to every classusing real-world applications, compelling research, and thought-provoking discussions to spark student interest.
What I value most is the opportunity to connect with students, learn from their perspectives, and support their growth. Every student brings unique strengths and insights, and I see teaching as a dynamic, collaborative process that enriches both learner and educator.

Outside the classroom, I’m an avid gardener who finds joy and peace in nurturing plants. Whether I’m tending to my backyard oasis or cultivating seasonal produce in my community garden plots, I love being close to nature. My home is also full of life—I share it with three cats, three crested geckos, and three pet rats, each with their own unique charm. I have a deep curiosity about the universe, and I enjoy reading about quantum physics and astronomy in my spare time. Family time is incredibly important to me, and we often combine our love of adventure with travel. I’ve been fortunate to explore places like Costa Rica, Roatán, France, England, Hawaii, and Colombia. Most recently, my family and I embarked on a hiking trip through Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, exploring Zion National Park, Antelope Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. I’m always dreaming about the next destination and can’t wait to plan our next adventure!
