Life has blessed me with plenty of opportunities to assist people on implementing ways to make sense out of their data. I am passionate about being highly organized when implementing statistical solutions; I plan and execute my work making sure proper project documentation is captured along the process. As a result, finalized statistical projects I contribute to are highly reproducible, transferable, and practical.
I enjoy a lot thinking outside the box to explore alternative ways to enhance the outcome of my job; in particular, I enjoy producing enhanced visual output that combines mapping (colorblind friendly) colors and (Unicode) plotting symbols to relevant study factors (e.g., gender, location, year, treatment type, or any other numerical/qualitative attributes) to convey information from data (i.e., smart annotation of visualizations). A couple of examples of my creative thinking are the invention of DELsTAndardization as an option for data normalization, the augmentation of data by inclusion of dummy entries for performing data-driven univariate/multivariate analyses (with the principle that available data may suggest profiles for good/poor performing entries) and using Microsoft Teams File repositories as an alternative to GitLab for data/code sharing.
Designed and implemented statistical algorithms in the form of locally/cloud deployed workflows and/or shiny web applications, contributions that increased high throughput and significantly shortened turnaround times. In short, I am equipped to deeply dive diverse data lakes.
Since 2025 I have self-trained on using open-source software and Microsoft 365 tools for content creation for my "sosdar" (Scientific Open Source and Data Analysis in RStudio) YouTube Channel to be launched and maintained for sharing technical skills and life experiences.
