Certified Tutor

I am a senior graduating from Stanford University. I will receive my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on immunology, a minor in American Studies, and an Honors Thesis in Science, Technology, and Society. I have experience tutoring 1st graders in improving reading comprehension, as well as coaching high schoolers through the college essay writing process. While I have tutored Chemistry, Biology, English, and Reading, I am most passionate about English, Reading, and Biology. In my experience helping struggling students, including my younger siblings, I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching. I recognize each student as an individual who may be struggling with different aspects of understanding frameworks for a certain subject. My teaching philosophy is personal and highly specific to the individual in front of me out of care. I have a love of learning, and my ultimate goal is to share this with students to help them become more independent learners. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time in my garden, reading, and playing the saxophone.
