Certified Tutor
I am working toward my Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) at Carleton University, where I currently hold second-year standing. My passion for tutoring stems from a genuine desire to help students gain confidence and succeed in subjects that often feel intimidating, especially math. I tutor a broad range of math subjects, including middle school math and high school courses, including Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, and Linear Algebra. I especially enjoy teaching Algebra and Trigonometry as they form the core foundation for more advanced topics, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help students master these building blocks, grow more comfortable tackling complex problems. I began my education in Winnipeg, Manitoba, completing middle school and Grade 9 there before moving to Ontario and graduating from David Suzuki Secondary School. Even back then, I found myself naturally stepping into a helper role among my classmatesa role I've grown to truly enjoy and now pursue more formally through tutoring. My teaching style is patient, adaptable, and encouraging, with a focus on meeting each student at their own pace and learning style. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ways of thinking, whether it be through real-life analogies or visual examples to help make the material more relatable and easier to understand. My experience in my high school's after-school tutoring program, COY (Counting on You), played a big role in shaping this approachit taught me how to be flexible, communicative, and student-focused while working one-on-one with peers who needed academic support. Tutoring isn't just about teaching specific concepts for meit's about helping students see their potential, celebrate the small wins, and maybe even discover that learning can be a little more fun than they expected :)

Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active and spending time with friends through sports like volleyball, badminton, and team games, or going on bike rides. I also have a strong passion for dance, including hip-hop, K-pop, and freestyle Bollywood. Dancing and sports allow me to express myself creatively, stay energized, and be part of a team, all of which bring balance and joy to my life :)
