Certified Tutor

I'm passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally because I've seen first hand how personalized support can boost confidence and build lasting skills. With experience tutoring both math and English, and a strong background in educational volunteering, I've developed the ability to adapt my teaching style to meet a variety of learning needs and preferences.

Currently, I'm pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University. I have written several essays, briefs and reports, along with participating in international writing competitions. I've also developed a strong foundation in the legal field, cultivated by case studies and coursework. In addition to my academic work, I've earned certificates in leadership, money management, and career development experiences that have deepened my communication skills and broadened my ability to support students beyond the classroom. I am also a part of the Pre-Law Society, and UNICEF!

In high school, I was a very keen math and English student! I took various mathematical courses, including calculus and advanced functions.

I especially love tutoring English, where I help students express their thoughts clearly and develop critical thinking through writing. I also enjoy tutoring mathematics, breaking down concepts into simple, approachable steps that lead to "aha" moments.

My teaching philosophy centers on encouragement, clarity, and building long-term understanding. I strive to create a supportive, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and exploring new ideas. Learning is all about growth, and nobody is ever expected to be perfect. I am here to support my students through every obstacle they face.

Outside of academics, I'm interested in law, human rights, and swimming activities that have taught me discipline, patience, and resilience, qualities I bring into every tutoring session. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy swimming, skiing, and reading. Swimming helps me stay active and focused, while skiing gives me a sense of adventure and discipline. I also love getting lost in a good book—it sharpens my thinking and inspires creativity, both of which I bring into my tutoring sessions.
