Certified Tutor
My name is Jannatul Ferdous Nipa and I have completed my Master's degree in chemical engineering from Auburn university with my research work in biomedical engineering. With years of academic and hands-on research experience, I bring both depth and clarity to every subject I teach. My goal as a tutor on Varsity Tutors is to not only help students excel in their coursework but also to spark curiosity, confidence, and long-term understanding.
Throughout my academic journey, I've worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, guiding undergraduate students in complex topics like chemical process design, reaction engineering, and bioengineering. I am also involved in cutting-edge research on 3D tissue models using colon cancer and fibroblast co-cultures, where I investigate tumor behavior and microenvironment dynamicsan exciting intersection of engineering and medicine.
Beyond academics, I've completed industrial training at a urea fertilizer plant and held internships in quality control and chemical safety, giving me real-world problem-solving skills. I understand the challenges students face in both classroom learning and applying concepts in practice, and I tailor my tutoring approach to fit individual needswhether it's breaking down tough chemistry concepts or preparing for standardized exams.
As a previous stem student, I know how valuable personalized support can be. I'm here not just to teach, but to listen, encourage, and guide students at every step of their learning journey. Let's work together to achieve your goals and make learning an empowering experience.

Degree: Auburn University - Master's/Graduate, Chemical Engineering
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring scientific topics, especially in biomedical engineering and tissue engineering research. I'm passionate about making complex ideas easier to understand, and I love seeing students gain confidence in subjects they once found difficult. I also enjoy reading books on psychology, philosophy, and personal development, which helps me connect with different learning styles and mindsets. In my free time, I like journaling, practicing mindfulness, and having deep conversations about life, science, and personal growth. Whether I’m in the lab or helping someone learn, I find joy in curiosity, clear communication, and making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
