Elina: Long Island tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a Bachelor of Health Sciences student at Queen's University with a strong academic foundation in subjects such as english and science, particularly cell physiology, chemistry, anatomy, and biology. With a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, I strive towards helping students unlock their potential through structured, personalized support. Drawing on my past experience as an English tutor, I have led both one-on-one and group sessions, developing customized lesson plans and adapting my teaching style to suit diverse learners. My background in mentorship programs like the Queen's Health Sciences Outreach Summer Program has further strengthened my ability to guide students not just academically, but also in building confidence, organization, and a balanced approach to their studies. While I can tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most familiar with English and science. I have deepened my scientific knowledge through the ASPIRE Research Program at Queen's University and achieved recognition as a top 5% finalist in the UW Avogadro Chemistry Contest and a Round 1 Finalist for HOSA's CPR & First Aid competition. Additionally, my AP English studies throughout high school have strengthened my appreciation for literature and reading comprehension. I firmly believe that education is a powerful tool for personal and community growth, and I am committed to inspiring students to take ownership of their learning journey. I look forward to supporting students in achieving their academic goals with enthusiasm, care, and professionalism.
