As a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, I am majoring in Biology for Health Science with minors in Chemistry (specializing in Organic Synthesis) and French Studies. My academic journey, along with preparing for medical school and taking the MCAT, reflects my deep passion for learning particularly when it comes to understanding and teaching the human body.
I've been tutoring for over a year, specializing in English, writing, reading comprehension, French Immersion (Grades 1-8), and high school science and biology (Grades 9-12). My experience also includes years of working with younger children in daycare settings, which taught me how to adapt my communication style and keep students engaged, no matter their age or level.
My teaching style is interactive and visualI rely heavily on drawings, diagrams, and active participation to help students truly grasp and retain information. I like to have the students rework the lesson and show me that they really did understand the lesson being taught. Practice is also key. I believe that learning should feel approachable and even fun, and I strive to create a supportive, confidence-building environment in every session.
Aside from scientific academia, I am proficient in Writing Development. I have experience in Creative Writing, Professional Writing, and Scientific Writing. I am currently in the process of publishing my research articles and have been working with Professors and Peers in the writing space.
I love working with kids, and have been for the majority of my teenage/adult life. I have fun planning interactive and attention grabbing lessons and work with the students to create a fun and respectful learning space.

Outside of academics, I enjoy painting, baking and traveling. So far I have visited Kenya, Italy, Curacao, Jamaica, the East Coast of Canada, and the East Coast of the US. My next destination is Portugal and Iceland. I am trying to become the running type of person, but I am failing miserably if I'm honest. My life consists of studying and the occasional walk outside but my goal is to spend more time doing adventurous activities.
