Certified Tutor

I am a rising junior at Davidson College. I am majoring in English and Psychology with a goal to pursue graduate studies in the Education Field. I have tutored extensively including working with a first grader on a phonics based program through the Augustine Literacy Project; teaching a Spanish class to 1st graders; volunteering at an after school community center in a 4th-6th grade classroom and most recently as an Ignite Semester Fellow through Teach for America where I virtually tutored two fourth graders in Reading. I am especially passionate about tutoring English, Reading/Writing, Literature, Psychology, Spanish, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus 1. My love for teaching and tutoring stems from my belief in the importance of equitable education and the connections I hope to foster with my students. I am an avid reader and creative writer in my free time, and I love to swim and enjoy the outdoors.
