As an educator with a diverse and dynamic background, I am deeply passionate about helping students gain the skills they need to thrive not just academically, but in life. I believe literacy, writing, and communication form the bedrock of success across all areas of life, from school and career to personal relationships. My tutoring approach is student-centered and data-informed: I begin by analyzing baseline skills, learning preferences, and motivation, and work collaboratively with families to set clear, attainable S.M.A.R.T. goals. My academic foundation comes from Pennsylvania State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English Education with a concentration in Theater. Moreover, I hold a Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Pre-K to 4th grade as well as English and Communications 7-12.
Over the years, I've taught Speech, Psychology, and Writing at the post-secondary level; led elementary classrooms as both a teacher and Title I Reading and Math interventionist; and served as a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher for six years. My experience also includes nearly a decade in behavioral health as a Therapeutic Staff Support, where I worked with special needs students through programs like Sarah's Smile which services young people on the Autism Spectrum and the Colonial IU's summer initiatives for students with special needs. My favorite subjects to tutor are English and Communications, as I believe mastery in these areas builds confidence, creativity, and clarity in every other discipline. I share a love for making Math at the elementary level fun to learn, as well. I strive to inspire students to break past their own limits and embrace learning as a lifelong tool for growth and empowerment.

Outside of academics, I’m energized by nature, outdoor activities, physical activity, and health and wellness coaching—interests that often influence my holistic approach to learning. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing volleyball, cards, board games, singing Karaoke, and dancing. I studied Classical Opera and Musical Theater privately and therefore find myself singing lessons at times to gain the attention of my students. I’ve trained in Film and Television acting as well, but have a special love for the musical theater.
