Certified Tutor

I am a third-year student at Queen's University pursuing my Bachelor's of Arts (Honours) degree with a major in Film and Media and a minor in English Literature. I have spent a lot of time tutoring middleand high-school-aged students in subjects like English, History, and Visual Arts, but my specialty is essay writing, a skill which is crucial in many subjects. I am very passionate about the power of writing and communicating, both in and out of school, and I love helping my students share this appreciation and work on their own critical thinking and media literacy skills in the process. I strive to foster a tutoring relationship that is both productive and fun, and encourage my students in an environment that is challenging but catered to their specific needs, strengths and weaknesses. I work to help my students find their unique voice and learn skills that they can carry with them throughout their academic careers and beyond.
