Certified Tutor

Currently in St. Petersburg, Florida, I'm a graduate of Georgetown University with a B.S.B. in International Business with a focus in Latin America. I grew up in Tampa, Florida but moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico where I learned Spanish. This experience is why I want to teach English as a Second Language to Spanish speakers. I was once in an SSL class, so I would like to help in ESL because I can empathize with students and teach them the skeleton of learning a new language in Adulthood (I began Spanish at 15).

English was always my best subject. I love to write, and I took numerous writing courses during my time at Georgetown. I also took high-level literature courses such as Critical Methods and AP Literature where I excelled. I ultimately chose Business for financial reasons, but if I had a truly even choice, English would've been my choice. I received a nearly perfect English score of 780 on the SAT, and am an avid reader in my freetime.

I'm passionate about helping students because I know firsthand how transformative individualized academic support can be. I was lucky enough to have great tutors that helped me learn Calculus, Science, and be able to raise my ACT score up to a 34. I know what it's like to be on the other side of the table, so I know what I would look for in a tutor. Somebody who inspires confidence and makes me find my own joy in learning the subject.

Outside of academics, I'm deeply interested in sports, mindfulness, fitness, music, and creative writing. Whether I'm working on poetry, training to become a certified personal trainer, or playing basketball, I strive to bring the same focus and passion to everything I do. I'm also currently working towards a career in Commodities Trading, but tutoring fits my current schedule better as my older sister is soon to give birth, and I'm a recent graduate still in the job process.
