Emmanuel
Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Emory University with a background in Creative Writing and Neuroethics, and I'm currently earning my Master's degree in Computer Science at Northeastern University. I have over eight years of experience teaching and tutoring students across a wide range of ages, from elementary school through adult learners. My instructional background includes academic enrichment with Horizons, web development instruction in coding bootcamps, and one-on-one mentoring in subjects like Python, JavaScript, and full-stack web development.
I specialize in teaching programming, web development, English, and writing. I especially enjoy helping students gain confidence in technical subjectstransforming topics that once felt intimidating into areas of curiosity and creative problem-solving. My favorite moments as a tutor come when a student begins to see patterns, make connections, and realize that they are capable of more than they thought.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in patience, clarity, and adaptability. I believe learning is most effective when students are treated with respect and their individual learning styles are acknowledged. I strive to create a low-pressure environment that encourages questions, builds confidence, and turns mistakes into stepping stones.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy working on personal programming projects, storytelling through game design, and exploring the intersection of technology, education, and ethics.

I enjoy developing indie games and immersive experiences using Unity and Python. I’m passionate about blending storytelling with technology and often experiment with creative coding projects that explore both art and interactivity. I also love drawing, reading thought-provoking literature, and creating narratives that merge science fiction and human psychology. When I’m not at my computer, I enjoy studying languages, exploring music and film, and reflecting on ways to make education more meaningful and empowering for others.
