I am an experienced educator with over 21 years of experience. I have a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degree and am certified to teach in both Ontario and British Columbia. My passion is teaching science, and I have a strong knowledge of the elementary science curriculum. I have worked with students of all ages from JK-Grade 6. For the past 14 years I have been a full time Science Specialist Teacher, and have also contributed to Science Curriculum writing teams. Early in my career I was a programming specialist developing camps, clubs and school programs at the local science centre, aquarium and even a 'bug' zoo! I believe in making learning fun and enjoyable and nurturing our innate curiosity! I enjoy working with students and meeting them where they are at, and differentiating my teaching to suit their learning styles. I have some online tutoring experience, and have worked with students on subjects such as math and literacy as well.

Outside of work, I love to bake! I am halfway (?) through a pastry arts certificate at the local culinary school, but if I am being honest, I mostly love to 'research' different treats by visiting local coffee shops and bakeries. To offset the tasty treats, I have also recently gotten into running and aiming for my first 10km soon! In my spare time I also love to be creative-and craft, read or tend to my indoor jungle!
