I am passionate about helping students because I deeply believe in the potential of every person. No matter the educational challenge, I know that with the right support, anyone can thrive. I've experienced this firsthandI've sought help from tutors during my own academic journey, and I understand the incredible power of having someone believe in you and walk with you through learning.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health and a Master's in Education, both from the University of North Florida, and I am currently completing my Ph.D. at Old Dominion University. My professional background is rooted in education and personal development. I've served as an elementary, middle, and high school teacher; a middle school counselor; and a college academic advisor. I also taught college student life skills both in person and online at two different colleges, supporting students as they transition into adulthood and independent learning.

Today, I work in human resources, where I have led training and development initiatives as well as talent strategy for nearly 10 years. These roles have expanded my reach from K12 and postsecondary education into the corporate world, and through all of it, my passion remains the same: helping people grow and reach their full potential.

As a tutor, I specialize in kindergarten readiness (drawing on my experience as a 1st grade teacher), as well as student life skills, study habits, writing, and essay editing. My teaching philosophy is simple: the student always leads. I quickly assess each learner's needs and style, and tailor every session to fit the individual I'm working with. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all educationevery learner is unique, and my job is to meet them where they are.

Outside of my professional life, you'll likely find me reading! Whether I'm at the library, in Barnes & Noble, or curled up at home with a good book, reading is one of my greatest joys.
