I am currently an undergraduate student at McMaster University in the Life Sciences Gateway program, hoping to specialize in Honours Biochemistry for my second year. Teaching has been deeply intertwined with my daily life since a young age, from helping my younger sister with her homework and music studies to being involved in my school board's in-class tutoring program. I particularly enjoy teaching as I find joy in helping others out and making an impact on their lives. Due to classroom sizes, students often are not able to benefit from one-on-one teaching and undivided attention from teachers in school. As a result, I strive to help students by understanding their needs and crafting lessons and answering questions based on those needs. I am an avid learner in biology, chemistry, math, music, and Mandarin, and love to teach others interesting facts I learn and fundamental basics about these topics. Outside of academics, I enjoy singing, cooking, baking, crafts, and reading Nature Briefings and science news.
