I am a graduate of Arizona State University (ASU), where I received my Bachelor or Science degrees in both Computer Science and Mathematics. I worked as an undergraduate teaching assistant in a digital design course during my time at ASU where I helped to answer questions students had about the topics covered in the course that they were stuck or confused on. I primarily focus on tutoring for subjects in math, which I have a strong passion for during my whole life due to it's rigid yet expandable structure that always made me think of how to apply and generalize what I have learned in math, and I want other students to have that feeling when working with math. As a tutor, I want to help students find success in their coursework by lifting any roadblocks in their understanding of the material they are looking to learn. I want to get into the mindset of the student who's struggling with the problem at hand so I can have a better sense of what their current knowledge is, identify and address those gaps in knowledge that are necessary to solve the problem, and then guide the student to be able to solve those problems on their own to demonstrate individual understanding of how to solve the problem at hand. Outside of academics, some of my interests include video games (especially strategy games), programming, and occasionally baseball.
