I believe that all students have potential and capacity for learning when they have the tools and strategies that work for them. My role as an educator is not only to provide information and instruction. It is to provide it in a way that is accessible and effective for the individual student.
I am a graduate of Macalester College (BA in Psychology) and a paramedic with 13 years of experience, 8 in critical care, and 6 as a field training officer. I was an EMT skills instructor for a year and have mentored students and trainees throughout my career. I have also tutored students in writing, editing, and research skills.
