I am a graduate from Arizona State University, Tempe Main with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. Before ASU I completed an Associates Degree of Applied Science from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas. Since graduation I have been teaching high school chemistry and biology (General and Honors) in Arizona and continue to this day. I am most passionate about biology and chemistry, as they are my areas of expertise. My greatest joy in being a teacher of biology and chemistry is to watch the lightbulb of understanding turn on for the student who in times past had a not-so-good experience in the field or who had a dispassionate teacher who was not fully invested in them, for whatever reason. I believe that true learning comes from the challenge of learning. As my father has always reminded me growing up , "If what you are doing is easy, then you are not learning. What fulfillment comes from doing easy things?" Furthermore, the greater the challenge the more beautiful the result! This is the attitude I hope to nurture in all my students, whether in the classroom or in an online session.
