Grace: Hendersonville tutor
Certified Tutor
With over a decade of experience working with young learners, I bring both passion and practical insight to every tutoring session. What began as babysitting and tutoring at age 12 has developed into a lifelong commitment to education. I've supported students in daycares, elementary classrooms, and specialized environments for children with developmental delays, working closely with teachers, parents, and support staff.
Currently, I'm in my third year of a Psychology degree with a specialization in Psychological Development, along with a concurrent education program that provides hands-on classroom experience. This mix of academic and practical training helps me understand how students think, learn, and grow.
My teaching philosophy focuses on creating inclusive and supportive learning environments where students feel valued and confident. I adapt lessons to different learning styles, use play-based and interactive strategies, and encourage self-regulation through positive reinforcement. I believe in celebrating each learner's unique strengths to help them succeed both academically and personally.
I enjoy tutoring all subjects from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and particularly enjoy teaching topics related to psychology and personal finance. These areas not only align with my academic background but also provide students with valuable tools for understanding themselves and the world around them.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, organizing, and continuously learning new things to keep my sessions fresh and engaging.

Undergraduate Degree: Trent University - Bachelor of Education, Psychology Teacher Education
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, staying active through fitness and outdoor activities, and finding creative ways to keep learning new things. I have a strong interest in personal development, which often leads me to explore topics like psychology, education, and communication. In my free time, I also enjoy spending time in nature, listening to podcasts, and expressing myself through creative outlets and DIY projects.. These interests help keep me balanced, motivated, and always looking for new perspectives to bring into my work.
