Certified Tutor

I am a current junior in college attending Washington University in St. Louis. Previously, I attended and graduated from John Burroughs High School. Through my high school, I had the opportunity to formally tutor students in preparation for the MAP Test in Missouri. Although I enjoy teaching a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about math, specifically Algebra and Calculus. Helping those students and even my classmates understand difficult problems is a rewarding experience as we both share in the accomplishment once we tackle the question. While I know that certain math topics require a specific method or train of thought that may not be totally understood, I believe that trying to understand those difficult topics is part of the fun. It is a rewarding experience when you finally begin understanding, and that is why I believe tutoring to be such a valuable tool for learning. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music of all genres, playing and watching basketball, lifting and running, trying new foods, and having fun philosophical discussions.
