I am a PhD candidate in Bioinformatics at the University of Toronto. Prior to my PhD studies, I had completed a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering. I have a diverse background in science and engineering which is combined with my natural enthusiasm for teaching.
I have more than 10 years of professional tutoring experience and I am proficient in tutoring a diverse set of courses in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics.
Throughout my tutoring career, I have developed special communication and teaching skills which enable me to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of students, to motivate them to work harder, and to enhance their problem-solving capabilities. My teaching methodology is highly interactive and is based on three steps: (1) understanding the fundamentals. (2) applying the core concepts to address basic questions. (3) integrating the principles to solve complex problems. I can also provide the students with complementary material if they are motivated to further study the lessons!
I believe that any student is capable of building a strong foundation and achieving academic excellence, provided that they are dedicated and professionally guided.

My daily hobbies include exercising at gym, watching movies, socializing with my friends at cafes and restaurants, reading books, and listening to relaxing musics. I would also love being in contact with nature. So I usually join my nature-loving friends to go for camping, hiking, or kayaking, at least once a month. Furthermore, I'm interested in voluntary activities, specially the ones that help me to expand my communication skills and learn about new ideas. I am actively running a book club where I bring many of my friends together, to develop the habit of reading books, and to share what we learn from the books with each other.
