Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Texas Christian University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in English and a Master of Education in Educational Administration. Since graduation, I have taught multiple levels of English in grades six through twelve as well as an adult ESL class. I've also been a curriculum coordinator for English Language Arts in a small district for PreK-12. Currently, I am an assistant principal. I have many certifications: Special Education EC-12, Theater EC-12, Generalist EC-6, English Language Arts and Reading 4-8, English Language Arts and Reading/Social Studies 4-8, English Language Arts and Reading Grades 8-12, English as a Second Language Supplemental EC-12, Gifted and Talented Supplemental EC-12, and Principal EC-12. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about grammar, writing, and text analysis. In my experience, helping struggling learners grasp grammar basics goes a long way with making a more cohesive essay. Education is the cornerstone of my own achievements, so providing academic support to students is one of my passions. The learning happens in the struggle, but the struggle shouldn't be insurmountable.

Hiking and other outdoor activities, traveling, and meandering through museums are some of the activities I enjoy.
