Personality:
I am a very outgoing, kind, fun and easy going. My sincere, genuine personality will make easy for us to talk and get along well with. I have a passion for teaching and helping people.

Spanish:
I have over 10 years of experience with Spanish. I started learning it like most in high school. But I stick with it and became fluent. I use Spanish in my day-to-day with my friends, in my ministry, as I travel and for work. It has really enabled me to have a strong love for languages in general, especially for my native language English. I have an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Community Spanish Interpreting. This enabled me to learned the ins and outs of not just Spanish, but also, English and how languages in general work.

English:
I am TESOL certified for English and have a C2 proficiency English level. I have nearly 5 years of experience with teaching languages. I began during the pandemic teaching my own English and Spanish classes on zoom. I taught English to both children and adults in classes and one-on-one sessions. Once I graduated, I did a bit of interpreting before I got into working as an ESL teacher for elementary and middle school. This enabled me to work with students of different levels and abilities. This helped me to vary the way I teach English to adapt to the needs of each student and meet them at their level. Teaching is my passion and teaching languages is what I love!

Math:
I also have experience with teaching math. During the pandemic, I did tutoring in math for elementary and middle school students. I am currently taking online classes to keep my math skills up to date. I specialize in Algebra and elementary math.

CNA:
I have worked as a CNA nearly all of my working life. I grew up in a family with where everyone is the medical field. The CNA course was the first course I took after graduating from high school. I started working at the local hospital shortly after that and worked there for nearly 6 years as a floater. During that time I became certified as a CNA 2. I am currently taking online courses to keep my knowledge of nursing assisting up-to-date.

My classes:
My classes are very interactive. I get my students involved asking them questions and helping them reason on the topic. I use the whiteboard a lot to show my students the information we are discussing. I make tables, charts, diagrams, lists and pictures to act as visual aids. We will also review articles and watch videos on the subjects we are going over to help explain the topic more. To make sure my student understands the topic well, I will give them practice problems to work out. When they don't understand them, I will work with them to help them get it, but asking them questions and reasoning with them so they can use what they know to work out the problem.

I look forward to working with you! I'm sure you will love my tutoring sessions! It will great to get to know you and teach you!
