Certified Tutor

I love learning about and teaching history! I am passionate about helping students because I am grateful for the skills I obtained through my education and want to help others develop their talents and abilities. I received my Master's degree in history from the University of Northern Colorado and my Bachelor's in history from Brigham Young University Idaho. I have worked with students in formal/professional and informal settings. During my Master's degree, I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant and had the opportunity to work with students inside and outside the classroom. I gave lectures, held study sessions, and graded assignments. I have also volunteered with the local youth group as a teacher and mentor. I had the wonderful opportunity to live in Africa for a time and teach the people there. I have taught students in High School and College. It is my goal to be able to teach history at a college or university. I tutor subjects relating to history, in my studies, I focused on World and African history. I also tutor in public speaking and essay/thesis writing. Outside of academia, I love movies, sports, and music. I like action/adventure and superhero movies. I played several sports in high school including football, wrestling, and track & field. I like going to the gym. Above all, I enjoy spending time with my family. I hope I will be able to help you on your academic journey.
