Latin Tutoring review by Joe in Westminster
The student and I had a great first session - we went through his math homework, English assignments, science homework, and history reading. We went through the principles of his math homework beyond his homework so the student was really comfortable with the Pythagorean theorem.

Latin Tutoring review by Michael in Westminster
Spent half the session working through two math sections. The student is very confident, but this sometimes leads to some minor errors, so I urged her to take her time. Continued to go over vocabulary words. I try to keep her interested and engaged by several styles of teaching. Not only do I quiz her, but I give her stories or examples that incorporate the words.

Today I prepped the student for the SAT on Saturday. We started with sentence completion as this was his weak point the last time he took the test, however he scored perfectly on our exercises today. The rest of our time was dedicated to the essay section of the test.

Latin Tutoring review by Abigail in Westminster
In our session this evening, the student and I focused mostly on reviewing for her upcoming quiz by reviewing vocabulary, translation, and the 5th declension. We started off by reviewing the forms of the 5th declension, discussing some of the particulars of the words in this declension, and talking about different ways to memorize and recognize the forms. She seems to learn best through writing and repetition, so her plan is to write out the 5th declension forms chart "backwards and forwards" (producing the form from the case and identifying the case from the form). We also spent some time reviewing vocabulary, focusing on words from the last 3 chapters. Dedicating some time in every session to vocabulary review seems to be helping her retain words better, so I plan to continue doing it. Lastly, we worked on some sight-translation from her textbook. Her translation skills have been steadily improving, which is great!
