Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We worked on the formal and informal commands and the Direct Object nouns and pronouns. The student seems to understand. He is attentive and works well during our session."
"We went over previous exams for chemistry. The student had a positive attitude toward the course material. We went over some test-taking strategies and we will continue to work on this matter."
"Today we reviewed the same exam review sheet we worked on yesterday and this time the student was super on top of it. The sheet involved switching from radians to degrees, evaluating trigonometric values, solving trig equations and arc length formula. All in all the student understood the material very well. She still struggles a bit with finding reference angles but she has progressed a lot."
"We went over the student's old exam, then talked about how to conquer each of the questions and how to take the exam. He also finished 50 question for extra credit."
"We started by discussing the techniques for studying that we had covered last session. The student took notes, including the information from last time. We then moved on to more techniques, and covered SQ4R, and lecture notes. Once we had a good list, we went more in depth with the techniques, and discussed pros and cons, efficacy, and preferences. We also talked about making set studying schedules and organizing by priority. She was quite attentive, and I believe she got some good information out of today's session."
"This was my last session with the student, since he is finishing school this week. I met with him to help him prepare for his finals. He needed to make a note card for his math final with formulas to help him during his exam (allowed by his teacher) so he did that and reviewed the math study guide he had worked on in class. He also spent some time reviewing for his English final; he looked up a character list for one of the books he would be tested on and he reviewed and MLA formatting worksheet. With the remaining time that we had, we continued to go through his biology study guide. He worked very hard and should be well prepared for his final exams this week. Best of luck!"
