We went over many other useful dental terms, questions and how to answer patient's requests. They practiced pronouncing the phrases and altering them slightly to their specific needs. I would ask follow up questions to gain more info. I also came up with various scenarios that could happen in a dental office. I was the patient and they had to ask me various info, to do certain things and I would ask them questions as well. They're going to practice more tomorrow and next week and I gave them a website to go on to practice the phrases and the proper pronunciation. Next time, I'll add in various small talk, hobbies, family, school, work, etc.

We had a good lesson. We did three pages in the textbook, learning many words for body parts and clothing. Then we re-watched the beginning of the second video we have been watching. We listened to all the sections we had already gone through then went back over them with him translating.

We began this session with a quiz. The quiz was a bit more difficult this week because it did not specify which verbs to use but just to fill in the blank. This tests their ability to spontaneously answer questions and apply the knowledge of verbs that they have to new situations and sentences. They both did very well. I assigned them homework to complete over the weekend. Based on the areas of the quiz that they struggled with, I will send them informational packets on some tricky verbs and verb structures.

Today, I helped the student with her pronunciation while she was reading. We also reviewed her homework, and she translated sentences into Spanish. As for homework, she needs to write an essay and practice numbers.

Today we spent some time reviewing the animal and food vocabulary and then began learning some verbs. The students seem to be doing much better on the food and animal vocabulary, but should continue to practice them. Also, they should continue practicing asking each other questions.

The topics covered today included: meals, meal times, food vocabulary, silverware, place setting, and drinks, as well as how to ask for the check. The student was able to ask for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert and describe what she prefers for a snack. She was able to combine all of the new food vocabulary with a brief conversation at a restaurant. She has progressed and takes excellent notes.
