Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I did an in depth lesson of numbers. We started by reviewing what the student had already learned from past Spanish classes and our introductory work. We then built on that, learning how to structure numbers up to the billions. We worked on applying this skill orally, aurally, and in writing; translating between English and Spanish and between numbers and letters. The practice was time well spent and I think the student has a better understanding of processing larger numbers when they are spoken aloud."
"We introduced ourselves in Spanish, talking about things like family members and hobbies. For this purpose we looked at some basic vocabulary for greeting people, manners, and talking about one's self. After that we quickly addressed the present tense, completing one exercise, and read a few dialogues."
"The student and I started with reviewing Spanish basics and going through the first few pages of the book to review. We practiced numbers, days of the week, and question words. Next, we talked about basic present tense conjugations of regular verbs and some basic stem changers. We then practiced using these verbs in sentences with conjugations. I left him with the first pages of the book to complete as a review and a recommendation of another possible book to purchase."
