Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Worked through questions on drawing Lewis dot structures and some organic chemistry naming and structure problems."
"Reviewed Lewis acids and bases, Bronsted-Lowry acid and bases, Arrhenius Bases, pKa, auto ionization, Lewis structures."
"We went over geometric shapes for chemical compounds and formal charge. She has a test tomorrow on those subjects."
"We covered development and some sensations (mostly visual). We answered the practice questions given and added to the study guide. Next week, we will review the rest of the senses and continue preparing for her next quiz."
"We covered different medications, (specifically statins, fibrates, zetia, and niacin), uses of each drug, how they work in the body, and where they work in the body, as well as potential side effects of each class. I tried to highlight specific information I thought would be relevant on the test. I included information I thought would be important for the student to study on her own and go over. I think just focusing on the small differences in the medications will really help, and I tried to make that an important part of what we went over."
"We covered different types of selection, fundamental concepts supporting evolution by natural selection, genetic drift, gene flow, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, and species concepts. The student was not struggling with anything particularly and was very receptive to explanations. She does not have any grades yet as she just started the semester."
