Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed for the student's exam on Wednesday. We made a timeline from 1910 to 1930 to show all of the things that happened in Russia and Germany in those years. We then reviewed ID's from the Soviet Union. We practiced ID's since she seems to struggle finishing that section on her test."
"The student and I covered more material on another practice test. He performed well. He more or less aces questions when background material is part of the question. The student's only shortcoming is inexperience with the material. Study time is the key to success."
"We orally went over the entire chapter and also the student finished up his homework questions for the chapter. He did a nice job with staying focused and attentive throughout the whole session. We finished with some videos that were related to the chapter."
"We covered pediatric doses, concentrations and infusion rates She was actually doing really well. She has a great attitude. We worked the same way as always where I help walk her through the parts of the problems she is struggling with."
"I asked the student how she did on her last exam and she felt she did well on it. From here, I asked her if there were any concepts she felt that she wanted clarification and we worked on them. These topics were periodic table trends, Lewis structures, Graham's Law of Diffusion and colligative properties (boiling point elevation/freezing point depression/vapor pressure). I explained these concepts on a fundamental level and where they came from in nature and history to help in learning the concepts which seemed to help the student. We did some practice examples and I corrected a couple of minor errors in thinking, but overall, I feel she is doing very well with the concepts."
"We looked at the assigned homework, which was a breeze, and spent the rest of the lesson translating "Salvius Fundum Inspicit" on p. 13. No homework this week. Next Monday, we'll look at the work the other tutor left for him, and we'll continue with the textbook."
