"We went over resistance circuit problems and finding the missing values in various configurations of resistor-circuits. We went over Kirchhoff Loop Law, where the sum of voltages in a closed current loop is zero. This is the basis for Ohm's law (V=RI). For example, V=R1I1+R2I2 for a simple circuit with two resistors R1 and R2 in series. For a circuit with R1 and R2 in parallel, there are two loops: V=R1I1 and V=R2I2."
"We went over the pre-lab questions for this week's lab, which had to do with projectile motion. The student had to complete these in order to be able to walk in the door to the lab. We also worked on Taylor series and Maclaurin series and a bit on radius of convergence, but these will probably need a bit more time later on. We plan to have a session this weekend before his two tests on Monday to prepare for these tests and to continue with the series clarifications."
"We were reviewing for her exam tomorrow, so we covered a little bit of everything. We started with kinematics, both 1 and 2 dimensional, then we did box on a ramp problems, 3 blocks being pushed on a horizontal frictionless surface, circular motion and we reviewed the elevator problem at the very end. This session went really well overall, she was already pretty prepared, I just helped her with a few questions and explained some key concepts. I think she will do very well on this exam and I think she is well on her way to an A in the class!"
