French Tutoring review by Fred in Sammamish, WA
The student did very well learning and practicing the Spanish alphabet. We practiced pronunciation. I would say a word and have her repeat after me. She showed signs of quick recall and a real excitement for learning. The progress shown in the first session is very exciting.

The student had a specific topic that he wanted reviewed, the proper use of the imperfect indicative verb tense. I explained it, gave examples, and reviewed some of his homework and textbook examples to further re-enforce understanding of this topic. By the end of the session, she demonstrated and told me that he had a much better understanding.

French Tutoring review by Erin in Sammamish, WA
The student has a vocabulary quiz on body parts tomorrow, so we reviewed those words going from Spanish to English, and then English to Spanish. Then, we did a few practice activities to practice using them in context, like going to the doctor and describing pictures of people. She did a great job. She does need to keep practicing on her own and practice spelling on the quizzing app, but she should be great tomorrow!

The student is great! We spent the session talking a little bit about his hobbies, and then focused for the rest of the time on his goals for the rest of the semester, his needs, and where he needs to improve.

French Tutoring review by Ernest in Sammamish, WA
The student is still working on multiplying two digit numbers. Today, we found two great strengths of his, namely that he has memorized his multiplication tables well and that he utilizes the mental math strategies taught by his teacher. Two sources of trouble are that he sometimes forgets a step and more importantly, he crowds his numbers onto the page, which can present difficulties when setting up a problem. His vocabulary study is going well, but my goal is to make up more games with them to increase interest and integration. He only had a short Spanish assignment today, which he completed for the most part by himself. Conjugating the verb "ser" can be difficult, and he seemed to have the most trouble with the "tu" form. We also briefly discussed the differences between "ser" and "estar," which is always confusing for beginner students.

French Tutoring review by Jaylene in Sammamish, WA
The student was not struggling, just had a few questions regarding the grammar. She had a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Strategies included in this session were how to differentiate when to use "un and una." I did not leave her with extra practice but we did practice a lot during the session. I did not see any scores to note progress, but she is definitely doing great pronouncing. I have no concerns. I feel confident she will do great tomorrow on her test.
