Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered a few topics for his upcoming quiz. We did a review in two different sessions. In this first session we went over "Interrogatives"- the student was supposed to read the answers given, and figure out the question using the correct interrogative vocabulary. After that, we went over the answers. We made corrections, and moved onto the adjectives he has learned including: agreement in gender and number. We made a list of synonyms, antonyms, cognates, and new words for him. He did well on this part of the review, and left him with an exercise to work more on the "interrogatives"."
"We went over the third (and, we believe, last) video of the set that teaches Spanish to foreigners. We talked about how watching the same movies over and over again in Spanish really help to develop an understanding of lived Spanish language. We started another video series of Spanish for foreigners. The good thing about this series is that it already has subtitles in Spanish."
"We reviewed for the student's upcoming exam, covering object pronouns, indefinite and negative words, progressive tense, reflexives, commands with pronouns and reflexives, gustar and similar verbs, and adjective and noun subjunctive clauses. Next week we will continue with superlatives and preterite, subjunctive, and other mode/tense translations."
