Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed the first half of the exam and the student showed significant improvement. We also went through the practice exam problems for second half of the session."
"On Saturday, the student and I went over the key concepts in the first three sections in chapter 6. Chapter 6 introduces thermodynamics. We began by seeking out all of the relevant mathematical equations and relationships that would be important and useful in solving problems. After going over the key thermodynamic principles and finding the useful equations, he and I looked over some of his homework problems dealing specifically with heat capacity, specific heat, enthalpy, and calorimetry. He seemed to understand the concepts well, and was able to handle the more complex calorimetry problems after a few practice attempts. We also reviewed manipulating equations. Before I left I wrote him a few new practice problems that he can try on his own to make sure he feels comfortable with the material when I'm not there."
"Reviewed for upcoming midterm. Covered wide range of topics including atomic interactions, measurements, and scientific vocabulary."
