Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over her homework on a few food vocabulary words. We learned how to ask for food at a restaurant, and expanded the vocabulary. We worked on a few exercises, and worked on conversation to practice the acquired language so far. We also started to work on -er, and -ir regular verbs. We learned that the conjugation for those regular endings follow the same pattern for those -ar endings."
"Today was our last session until after the new year. It was a good one because we translated some great sections in the book, and we also started on the beginning of the next challenging part. We will be getting into imperfect verb conjugations, which is an entirely different set of conjugation patterns that the student has already begun to memorize. We worked a bit with that and will review again when we get back."
"The student and I did another worksheet of verb conjugations. There were 8 different infinitives that needed to be 1) chosen for the right meaning and 2) conjugated to the right person. The sentences included much more vocabulary, as well. Then, we finished chapter #2 of our textbook. We went over the question words of quien, que, como, cuanto, cuando, and others. At the end of the session, I really felt that the student is starting to construct a good base for learning Spanish and will be able to really do well."
