Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"[COVERED]: We covered Uniform Circular Motion, Impulse, and Inclined Planes, reviewing some problems that the student had encountered difficulty understanding from her Topic Tests in Newtonian Mechanics. We covered Momentum and Collisions, as well. Given that she had taken lessons in the basics of Chemistry before, I decided to quickly cover Periodic Trends to lay the groundwork of her own review of bonding so we could cover Equilibrium Chemistry next. [EXTRA PRACTICE]: I told her to keep doing Topic Tests, as well as problems. I assigned her reading on Atomic Structure, VSEPR, and Bonding, as well as general Equilibrium Chemistry. I also advised her on study scheduling, offering to break the topics into "chunks" that we would cover on an as-needed basis in response to her practice questions."
"We covered general chemistry. We worked through some practice problems on stoichiometry / acid & base chemistry, and in future sessions we will do some more work on general chemistry."
"We worked on all of the sections of the GRE. In math we focused on interest problems and continued to practice past concepts. We practiced reading comprehension, which went very well. We also did sentence completion, and we continue to practice brainstorming and organizing essay prompts."
